The Quick Vision 3-D CNC vision measuring systems have been especially designed for use in measuring laboratories and on production sites. They are best suited for efficient medium- and large-volume series measurement. All versions in this series feature – as highlights – a true-to-reality image for CNC-controlled optical 3-D measurement, enhanced edge detection by surface structure analysis, sample projection for focusing low-contrast surfaces and high drive speed and acceleration. The illumination technique enabling triangle pattern projection facilitates clear focusing and detail detection even on low-contrast or highly reflective surfaces.
The image processing software QVPAK developed by Mitutoyo comes with all Quick Vision systems as a standard. This program features an intuitively operable user interface. Illumination control, magnification or part programming can be performed easily by mouse. Due to QVPAK only a very short period is required to get familiar with the Quick Vision measuring system. Various supplementary software modules especially developed for QVPAK are available to customize and extend the program according to individual user requirements.
Fixed Bridge and Table Configuration:
The bridge and table guideways forming the X and Y axes are connected by a rigid body highly resistant to geometrical deformation. This means the accuracy of each axis is largely unaffected by the other’s movement, making this configuration ideal for high-precision machinery.Structural design is optimized through the use of finite element method (FEM) analysis. This results in maximum rigidity for minimum weight, minimizing deformations due to loading and guaranteeing excellent geometrical accuracy at all times .
New Optical System Improves Brightness and Resolution: The optical system has been improved, realizing clearer images and higher edge detection capability.
Finer resolution: The new design has increased the numerical aperture (NA) of the standard 2.5X lens from a conventional 0.14 toan amazing 0.21, greatly improving brightness and resolution in the process. The high NA and low distortion ensureshigh accuracy on the screen. In addition, the working distance has increased from the conventional 34 mmto 40.6 mm, thereby improving usability as well.
Higher Brightness: The LED illumination models are equipped with the latest high-brightnessLED elements, not only improving the optical system but also increasingthe brightness by practically doubling the illumination of the CCD.
Reduced Flare: Flare has been significantly reduced by redesigning the optical system ofthe objective lens and the variable magnification unit (PPT).
